Amelia Island Book Festival
The 18th Annual Amelia Island Book Festival is to be held February 14th - 16th in Amelia Island, Florida. Each year their mission is to provide a "unique literacy program that puts an author in every school so students can engage in a 360-degree experience with an author and their book." They support the Authors in Schools Literacy Program, the Tween/Teen Scenes, and Short Story Writing contest. Their festival is about getting a book into every child's hand and promoting a lifetime of learning! This year's Festival includes New York Times bestselling authors John Grisham, Diana Gabaldon, Steve Berry, Kristen Ashley, David Baldacci, Tess Gerritsen, and Ridley Pearson. Jayne Rose-Vallee will read at an elementary school to approximately 750 elementary students where her book "DLIMH!2" will be given to each child. What an amazing opportunity for author and students!
Dinosaurs Living in My Hair visits Ascension Hospital Pediatric Floor. Heather Mertz and Jayne Vallee will individually read the DLIMH books to pediatric patients. The DLIMH Movement continues.
