Jayne Rose-Vallee is an award-winning author and publisher of children’s books. Her mother’s love of poetry and quick-witted humor sparked an early appreciation for a good rhyme. Raised on a farm in Battle Creek, Michigan, taught her hard work and a little bit of dirt builds character. After raising three children, she wrote Dinosaurs Living in My Hair 1 & 2, and she has received numerous awards for each title. Two gold Florida Authors and Publishers Award for Poetry and Cover Design; two Mom’s Choice Gold Award for Children’s Picture Book; and a Purple Dragonfly Book Award 1st Place for Poetry.

Jayne was encouraged by her daughter to publish the first book, which catapulted her into a new business venture and ultimately the formation of Rose-Vallee Children’s Foundation. Rosevallee Creations began in 2014 and developed a line of accessories which complement the DLIMH series. Her newly published DLIMH2 Coloring Book is one of her favorite creations.

“We continue to evolve and grow. To remain relevant is important to us.
Tackling the bullying theme in book two has been an important step in this
direction. The goal to make a lasting impression on every student we meet,
will always be our main objective. We see collaboration with others as our
way forward.”

Jayne visits elementary schools across the country sharing her love of poetry and herenthusiasm for IMAGINATION. “Kids need to color outside-the-lines!” she insists. Recently, Jayne was asked how it felt to receive awards for her books. Without hesitation, she smiled and said, “It’s great, however, seeing a child read my book, smile and/or laugh at the rhymes, and want it read again is the greatest reward I could receive.”

When not writing or visiting schools Jayne is an avid fly-fisherman. She loves fishing with her husband on either a Montana stream or in the Florida Keys backcountry.
